Shoreditch was a great area to stay in, with all the graffiti art and plenty of restaurants. The apartment was modern, clean, roomy, and comfortable, so we felt at home. We did notice the train tracks below, which some reviews had mentioned, but we thought they were a cool feature and the bedroom seemed soundproofed. We'd booked at the last minute after leaving our Airbnb early because of a bad experience. Jonathan got back to us quickly, and Ramon met us when we arrived and showed us around. If I'm back in London, I'd book here again.
We especially liked having a spacious common area where the adults could cook and everyone could hang out, including the kids. The three-bedroom apartment was clean, modern, and comfortable, with plenty of room for our group of three adults and two children. Someone welcomed us and walked us through the place when we arrived. The trains beside the building, below our apartment, didn't bother us at all. Our four-year-old loved watching them from the window, and the sunrise view was lovely. There was lots within walking distance, and getting to and from the apartment by public transport was easy. With young children, it was handy to have playgrounds nearby. We especially enjoyed Weavers Field Playground and St. Lukes Children's Play Area. The host was easy to reach and very kind. We had a wonderful stay at Eight Apartments and would book again next time we're in London.
The apartment was spotless and comfortable, with great bedrooms and bathrooms, plus a lovely open-plan kitchen and living area. Shops are close by if you want to cook for yourself, and there are loads of restaurants an easy walk away. EIGHT apartments is a great base for an independent stay in the very cool Shoreditch area, with good public transport connections. 10 out of 10, thank you!
So light and airy, thanks to those floor-to-ceiling windows. This is a fabulous, brand new two-bedroom apartment in a great part of Shoreditch, with a really good layout and all the modern conveniences. I can't wait to book The Eight again. Highly recommend staying here!
The location is great and the place is very beautiful, so it could be a nice stay if better care were taken of it. We paid $400 a night and had hot water for only two of our six nights. That's awful. Several kitchen things were broken. The toaster handle had been superglued back on, and now the toast gets stuck instead of popping up. The frying pan was disgusting, and there was no liner in the silverware drawer, so the cutlery was loose in it. The overground runs right beside the building. I had to use earplugs and play white noise on YouTube to get to sleep.
