Travelodge London Central Euston

The staff were lovely and the location convenient, but the room had several things needing attention, including a light that didn't work and a dripping tap. The bed squeaked but was okay, while the pillows were very firm. The shower got hot, though the water pressure was weak. There was a TV and kettle, but I didn't see a hairdryer. We stayed two nights, and the room wasn't made up after the first night. It does the job if you won't spend much time in the room, but for the price I probably wouldn't return.

The location right by Euston was excellent, and I didn’t feel unsafe or bothered by noise. My room was a SuperRoom, spotless and well kept. The outside of the building looks pretty strange, but indoors it’s fairly standard. Staff were lovely, though the receptionist handling a busy check-in could’ve used some help. I had a really nice stay this week.

The room needed attention. There were lots of little maintenance problems, and for the fairly high nightly price, the value just wasn’t there. The WiFi setup felt outdated too: you get 30 minutes free, then have to pay for a package, which felt like a rip-off at that rate. On the good side, staff were friendly and helpful the whole four nights I was there in May 2026. They stored my bags before check-in and after checkout, which I appreciated. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby, and Piccadilly Circus and Soho are about a 30-minute walk away. Euston and St Pancras International are right next door, handy if you’re coming to London by train.

The staff made the trip for us. Every person we dealt with was so kind, chatty and pleasant from start to finish, a real breath of fresh air. We had a family room while taking our 6-year-old to see the Lionesses, and it was set back from the main street, so she could get to sleep in peace. Getting around was easy, whether walking or heading elsewhere on our trip. We couldn’t fault the hotel and would happily recommend it. We’ll definitely book here again next time we’re in London.
