It’s a stunning, quiet and spacious place, with beautiful views and rooms. Our host was very attentive, and everything needed for a short stay was provided in the room. Parking was excellent. The setting is remote, though, so you’ll need a car or TAXI to explore local attractions. I’d highly recommend it for a romantic weekend or a quick hideaway trip to Looe.
This lovely country farm cottage sits on an exquisite estate, and the host is friendly and very helpful. There’s a bus not far away for getting into Looe village, but a car is the best way to get around. I imagine parking could get busy at the height of summer. A little bar fridge would be handy, though the host is happy to keep things in her house fridge if you ask.
The Peacocks room has a rustic feel and the essentials, including a fantastic shower and a very comfy bed. We also got visits from the three local peacocks, rabbits and a cat. There was no toaster or fridge, though they did provide long life milk. Just take care turning right out of the property: it’s a blind exit and traffic generally goes at 60. It was easy to find and access, and made a fantastic base for the local area, including Looe. The host gave very detailed instructions, good recommendations for local food, and ongoing support, clearly trying to make the stay perfect. There was even an unexpected daily room service, with dishes cleaned and supplies restocked each day. I can echo the four and five star reviews. We took a chance and found a real gem. We’d have stayed longer if we could and would recommend it, and definitely return if we get the chance.
We only stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The Peacock Room was the best, and the lady was very nice and attentive. The walls are thick, so we didn’t hear our neighbour. The farm is quite big, and there’s room for a picnic too. Just a heads up, there’s no mini fridge in the room, so for a longer stay you might want to bring a cool bag or something. Otherwise, all good 👍
A lovely place to stay not far from Looe. The owner was friendly, the bed comfy, and the wifi worked amazingly well, which I hadn’t expected in such a remote spot and building. The powerful shower was another nice surprise. Little things like that make a difference. Four peacocks wander the grounds, and there’s a friendly horse in an adjacent field. This is a five star review, so these are really just nitpicks, definitely not complaints. I’d personally have preferred a sofa to cuddle up on instead of two chairs. If you’re hooked on Netflix, bring a Chromecast or similar. You’ll need to tether it to your phone, while keeping your phone connected to the wifi, because wifi segregation is switched on. A small fridge would be a nice addition, and maybe a little combination oven for evening snacks after a long day out. An EV charger, or at least an outside socket, could also be more convenient and bring the owner a little extra money. We could have charged if needed, but we were heading to Eden project, so we used their chargers and topped up at the sole rapid charger in Looe while having dinner.
