Sawyers Bed and Breakfast

Tracey and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our lovely three-night stay. We had a good-sized room and a lovely bathroom in a great location. I can honestly recommend it 100%. Thanks, Nigel x.

The positive bits first: the B&B was clean, tidy and spacious, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. The room seemed promising when Tracy showed us in, but there was a dripping sound from the start. Water was leaking from a pipe in the property above onto a perspex skylight set into the recess. I told Tracy at reception. She came back with padding and a sheet of plastic, and we put the padding on the perspex to quiet the dripping. We thought that had sorted it, but the next night brought heavy rain and the noise on the skylight was unbearable. We couldn't sleep. I waited until the rain stopped, then went outside at 00.50 to put padding on the perspex. That finally stopped the dripping noise, and I managed to get some sleep. At breakfast I told Tracy what had happened. She just said, “sorry about that bless you.” The TV wouldn't come on, so I went to reception again and Tracy got it working, but most channels weren't available. It was so old I was surprised it worked at all. When my wife asked for the WiFi password, she was told there was no Internet in that part of the B&B. In my opinion, a room like this shouldn't be let to the public, especially at £130 a night. The whole apartment needs a major update. It's such a shame these problems ruined our time here.

Tracey was lovely and always made us feel welcome. We had an extremely comfortable bed and pillows, a nice shower, and the room was clean and pleasant. The location is great, and breakfast every morning was amazing. Honestly, I can't fault the place. We'd definitely come back and recommend it to anyone.

The sea is straight across the road, with views of Looe Island, and there was a parking space right outside our room. We could sit at the table and chairs there and look out over the water. It's also an easy walk into Looe for the shops and restaurants. Our room was lovely and spotless, with a comfortable bed and a big double shower. Tracey cooked a really lovely breakfast, and she and Ken were both so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. We'll definitely book again.
