The Globe Inn

There’s something about this place that makes it feel like a secret spot you’ve discovered. I’d go back often, try every beer and dish, and sit in every seat. Whether you fancy wine, a couple of beers or a meal, give it a go. If I lived in Lostwitheil, this would be my local. Great food, beer and people, the whole package.

A warm welcome, a brilliant choice of drinks, a great atmosphere, and dogs are welcome too. The menu is excellent, with generous portions made from locally sourced ingredients, and it’s great value. I’ll be back. Don’t miss it if you’re in the area.

Amazing place with friendly people, dogs welcome and delicious food. Everyone was so kind, and the fish and chips were honestly the best ever. The halloumi and pâté starters were stunning too. 👍

The pub itself is a lovely spot, and the usual pub food was okay. The meal order was a bit of a laugh: my wife asked for fish and chips, I chose pie and chips, then the server casually told her fish and chips weren't available and brought fish pie instead. It wasn't a big deal, just such a blasé way to handle it. What really brought the score down was the barking dogs in the dining room. Their noise drowned out the evening, and I don't understand why the manager didn't ask the owners to take them outside.
