We were shown around the farm after I asked Dawn, and it was lovely seeing the cows, sheep and chickens, all well cared for and raised there. The hens lay the breakfast eggs, and there’s a room where they’re weighed, graded and packed. So Holly Tree Farm eggs come from right here. The house has a pleasant garden with a picnic table and views over the fields and the Lovell Telescope. You can hear passing cars from the country road, but they’re quiet, and the area itself feels peaceful. It’s a handy spot halfway across the country, easy to reach and right by Jodrell Bank. The hotel is basic but reasonably priced. Breakfast is served in the guest dining room in the main house, where the owners cook and serve a really nice meal. There are little cereal boxes too. It costs extra, as the website clearly says. The owners are lovely, and the place would suit friends, couples or families. There are enough rooms for a large family, if that works for them. Likely to stay again!

The owner made me feel very welcome, and I slept really well in a clean room. Breakfast was quality too. I found this B&B online when I was heading to a friend’s wedding, and stayed on Thursday the 1st August. It’s a great B&B, and I’d highly recommend it 👍

We came to see the local church, decorated with over 1,000 corn dollies for the harvest festival. Jodrell Bank is just around the corner, and we could park right outside the door. The people were very friendly, and breakfast the next morning was delicious. At night we left the window open and could hear the cows mooing. The bed was luxurious and comfortable, and the en suite bathroom had a bath. They also recommended a great local pub with an open fire for dinner. A really enjoyable stay.

The farmhouse feels very homely, and the family are welcoming. I’ve stayed here a number of times. The rooms are spotless, nicely presented and have all the facilities you could want. It’s convenient countryside accommodation between J18 of the M6 and Alderley Edge, and just around the corner from Jodrell Bank. Breakfast is always top class, with eggs fresh from the farm. I’d warmly recommend a stay at Holly Tree Farm.

My room was warm, cosy and very clean, with tea and coffee on hand. Breakfast had a wide choice of cereals and fruit, plus a superb, filling full English. A friendly welcome at this countryside bed and breakfast. Highly recommended.
