The rooms are clean and nice, and the new staff are really friendly. Breakfast is much like the way the old owners did it, with plenty of hot food and different options. Some of the en suites are still as they were when my dad and I fitted them, and they've kept the place in lovely condition. The water feature out front was also fitted by me, my dad and my brother when Ian and Ella owned it. It's a really nice place, with that home-from-home feeling. I review places on Google and travel around the UK looking for good hotels and restaurants to review honestly. I've worked in the restaurant and hotel industry, so I know what I look for.

We could sit in the evening sun in the lovely garden, and our room had two comfortable chairs where we could take in the view over the promenade and sea. The guest house makes the most of its amazing position overlooking the water. Our room was spotless, and the covid precautions made us feel safe. Breakfast was hearty, with lots of choice and good local ingredients. Possibly one of the nicest guest houses we've stayed in.

Ursula, her husband, the staff and their very cute dog made us feel so welcome. My partner and I stayed three nights at the Somerton Guest House. Our bedroom was tidy and comfortable, with lovely views. We'd definitely recommend it for a stay in Lowestoft.

We had such a good first visit that we'll certainly come back next year. The owners, Ursula and Brian, are lovely and went out of their way to please and accommodate us. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and any extra request was no trouble. Our room was very comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. We wish them luck with their new venture.

The sea view from our spotless room was stunning, and Brian and Ursula were happy to help with anything that came up. They welcomed us warmly and knew so much about the local area. Breakfast was really lovely, and we all went back for more! This was our family's first visit to Lowerstoft and the East Coast, but we'll definitely return. Thank you so much.
