Passford House Hotel

The food was delicious, and we came away feeling that everyone takes real pride in giving guests a great time. Passford is a wonderful find. We had a brilliant stay and are so grateful to the whole team, especially Sophie, Caroline and Ethan, who made us feel completely at home. It felt like a five-star hotel, yet it was within easy reach of London. Well done, Chef.

There are lots of grounds to wander, and the old hotel feels peaceful, making for a break from the usual routine. It's a lovely 50-room place, with good staff and facilities. But the bar meals were pricey and neither the choice nor the standard was very good. Staying here isn't cheap either. My suite was let down by plumbing, furniture and some other issues.

The grounds are among the most beautiful I've seen, and the staff were an absolute delight. We loved Passford House and will be back. It was the perfect getaway, just what the doctor ordered. The food was genuinely Michelin-star level, the rooms were clean, warm and very comfortable, and the spa was amazing. Honestly, this didn't feel like a three-star hotel.

I had a lovely night's stay in a historic hotel with a fantastic location. Its old-fashioned feel was a plus, with traditional service and decor that suited the building. The restaurant was lovely, with exceptional service and food, and breakfast was great. The clean beds were comfortable, and the gardens were a wonderful extra, with little touches tucked around the grounds and wild deer roaming. The outdoor pool area should be amazing in summer. The pool was tranquil, but had only just reopened after repairs, so it was still warming up and very cold. That would have been manageable if the pool showers had been warm, but they were cold too. The sauna was great and much needed! Shampoo and conditioner would be an easy improvement. The body and hair wash smelled lovely, but wasn't conditioning enough for my long hair, and I'd forgotten my conditioner.
