The lovely Christmas decorations made the house feel special, and we had a memorable, comfortable stay. Little Hayes was a high-quality place to rent, though expensive. Our family of eight adults and six young children stayed for five nights over Christmas, and the house suited us perfectly. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all ideal, with excellent bedding, towels and shower gel. The kitchen had everything we needed, including plenty of crockery, cutlery, glassware and pans, plus two straightforward large ovens. We had no trouble making a big Christmas dinner and other meals. The large fridge and freezer were ideal, and the dining table worked perfectly for our group. The lounge and conservatory gave adults and children space to do their own thing when needed. Six parking spaces were very useful. The location is good, with a straightforward short walk to the small town's shops, pubs and cafes, though the town is a busy traffic bottleneck. Before we arrived, Gateway Accommodation answered our minor queries quickly and helpfully. Thank you!

The hosts were friendly and efficient in their communication, and we'd book through them again. The house worked really well for a weekend with friends. The bedrooms and en-suites were beautiful and finished to a very high standard. The kitchen diner was well equipped, with a massive table. It's in a good position, just a five-minute walk to the town centre, but it's on the main through road, so traffic can be disturbing.

We were a group of 14 spending a weekend away to celebrate birthdays, and Little Hayes was perfect for us. There was plenty of space, lots to do in the New Forest, and ample parking. The house is spacious and luxurious, with four large, stylish double bedrooms and a fifth that's smaller but still comfortable. The modern kitchen is large and very well equipped, and there are lots of shared spaces and a great garden. Everything felt brand new and well maintained, and it was spotlessly clean. It's on a main road, but we had no problem with road noise. There's a good pub restaurant directly opposite. Communication was excellent. Can't fault the stay and strongly recommend Little Hayes. We'll be back sometime!

The pubs and restaurants of Lyndhurst are only a three-minute walk away, and the kitchen is a great spot for entertaining. We stayed as a large group with kids, and Little Hayes was a fantastic place to be. The top-notch decor and feel of the house made it a special stay. The firepit, with logs provided, was a welcome extra. I'd definitely recommend it.

We loved staying here. The house was spacious and had everything we needed, with a lovely big kitchen and dining area that worked well for the whole family. It was also really good to have someone we could contact throughout the stay to sort out any issues.
