Debbie looked after us brilliantly. I was disappointed that gammon wasn't on the Sunday menu, since gammon with egg and pineapple is my favourite, but she checked whether they could make it anyway and managed to get it for me. The staff were all lovely, and they handled our last-minute table booking and later request to add more people without any fuss. A nice choice for a family lunch, and especially good for my birthday.

We sat in the beer garden on a sunny day, with plenty of places to choose from in the sun or under a tree or parasol. It was well kept, with lovely flowers. The chicken and bacon burger was incredible, and the prices seemed reasonable. We stopped for lunch during a motorcycle trip, and although it was busy, our meals arrived quickly. The staff were friendly and chatty, and the service was impeccable. A very pleasant stop, I'd definitely return.

The food on my last visit was delicious and felt like a treat. I've been to this pub several times, and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. It's a comfortable place for families or for a relaxed chat with friends. I'll be back.

We'd checked for the nearest place serving food in the New Forest because our local Chef and Brewer wasn't serving any. This one was a lovely find. The Hotel building was beautiful, the interior elegant, and the service outstanding. The pub food was good quality too. We'll return.

The garden is lovely, but it took over an hour for the kids' burger and chips to arrive after we ordered through the app. Even the garlic bread and olive oil starter took half an hour to reach the table. When we asked about the delay, they blamed us for entering the order incorrectly instead of apologizing, and said the starter had pushed the main course back.
