The New Forest Inn

It was lovely to be able to relax over the meal and catch up with our friends. Eight of us came for our third visit to the New Forest Inn, travelling quite a distance to meet regularly. The food is always delicious and the staff are so welcoming. Thanks for everything, we’ll definitely be back. Very happy customers.

We brought our two dogs for lunch and went for the homemade pies. There were more than ten kinds, and they were absolutely delicious. It’s amazing that the chef makes the pies themselves, and there are veggie options too. Everything was perfect, and we got a lovely welcome. We’d fully recommend this gem. We only came in for lunch, so I can’t comment on the rooms, but the pub and restaurant were great. The setting is stunning and the staff were friendly and funny, making us feel welcome in what seems like a well-used local. When I asked what they recommended, the answer was “All the pies”, and I have to say it was true. My lamb shoulder pie was bursting at the edges, and we left full and satisfied. It’s dog friendly too. I’d absolutely recommend the place and will return.

The New Forest Inn has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere in a beautiful countryside setting, with a nice balance of comfort and charm. We found the service attentive without it getting in the way, and the food was freshly prepared, full of flavour and beautifully presented. The ingredients really stood out, and each dish seemed carefully made. Whether you stop for food or a drink, or stay longer, it’s a memorable place. We’ll happily return and recommend it.
