We only visited the pub for a meal on Monday evening, not the hotel. The staff were lovely, friendly and polite, and the food was hot, tasty and spot on. Given the price, I hadn't expected it to be so good. The portions were large, a bit too much for me, though some people may like that. I also loved that they offer a smaller fish and chips, which was one of the best pub portions I've had. I'd really recommend the place for food or drinks.

My meal was delicious and just right, and the food was gorgeous with friendly staff. The prices were so good I expected the bill to be twice as much: under £42 for two mains, two desserts, a packet of crisps and four non-alcoholic drinks.

The lamb dinner was outstanding, easily as good as Michelin-level cooking. The homemade desserts were lovely too, especially the sticky toffee pudding and honeycomb cheesecake. Cemaes has a charming traditional pub with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for a memorable meal.

The lamb, vegetable and mint pie with chips was really good, and the food and service were excellent. I accidentally left my jacket behind, and the pub posted it back without accepting any money for postage. They suggested I donate that amount to the RNLI instead. I'll definitely return when I'm in the area.

We often stay at the Penrhos when visiting friends, and it feels like home. Deb and Justin are so welcoming, the food is unreal, and it's a great stop after a day exploring nearby. It's also the most dog-friendly pub and hotel, so your pup can have just as much of a holiday as you. Highly recommend. Five stars.
