The food was such a highlight that we ended up eating at Beck Hall for breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout our stay. I’d never done that on holiday before, and there were still dishes I wanted to try. Knowing the whole menu was vegan made choosing easy and relaxing. We came for our fifth anniversary and loved the cosy, clean room, especially the claw-foot bath. Beck Hall sits right in the Yorkshire Dales, with walks starting practically at the door, which was ideal for us without a car. Breakfast by the Riverside was a perfect start to the day. We’ve already decided to come back for future anniversaries.

Our puppy was on his first holiday and was treated so kindly. Dogs were made very welcome, and even the little room touches, like vegan chocolate and milk, were thoughtful. Everyone we met, staff and guests alike, was friendly, and the food was incredible. We had such a good time at Beck Hall and are already looking forward to returning. I hope they open more sister hotels around the country, because we’d want to visit them all.

We were given a two-night stay as a wedding present, and it turned out to be the best countryside break we’ve had. The village setting was beautiful, the rooms cosy and clean, and it got us properly into the Christmas spirit. We’ll treasure those memories. We’re already hoping to come back in summer and will recommend Beck Hall to family and friends. The menu was so well thought out that I wouldn’t change a thing. Being able to choose anything was a treat, and every dish was done to a really high standard. I especially liked the suet chicken pudding and Christmas sandwich. Linda greeted us warmly when we arrived, and the rest of the team made the stay feel special too. It’s a lovely base for walking.

We stayed for one night over the May Bank Holiday. The snug with its real fire was a lovely place to settle after dinner or just relax, and our room was cosy and well appointed. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel welcomes dogs. The food is all vegan and was fantastic, even though I’m not vegan. Beside the beck, there was plenty of wildlife to watch while having a drink. It’s well placed for walks and nearby sights including Janets Foss and Malham Cove. Just bear in mind that parking is only for overnight guests, and there’s very little parking in the village.

Malham is a lovely village with breathtaking scenery, and we’d happily recommend a stay here. We first came in 2024, returned in January 2026, and have already booked for 2027. The vegan food is superb, but the welcome from Linda and the team is what keeps bringing us back. They go out of their way to make you feel at home and were especially accommodating with our 14-month-old daughter, who can be a tricky customer. Everyone was great, and we wanted to give Wade a mention too. He’s a charming, charismatic young lad and a real credit to the hotel.
