We had a roast that ranks among the best I’ve had in ages. The hosts were friendly, and the tables felt warm and were clean, even with the gale blowing outside. It’s a lovely spot too, in a historic building beside a canal that’s being restored.
The Welsh Rarebit was the best I’ve ever tried, and the hand-cut chips were outstanding. We stopped in for a quick lunch, and everything arrived piping hot without a long wait. There was a good range on the menu, and we really enjoyed the food. We’ll be back soon.
A sat nav detour off the M4 brought us here while we were avoiding traffic. It was pretty quiet, though it deserved to be busier. The sausage roll and fish and chips were both excellent. Glad we stopped, and I’d thoroughly recommend it.
We had a lovely roast with drinks, and the staff were both helpful and friendly. We’ll definitely go back.
The Gravy Man made a really tasty roast, with a plate piled high with all the usual bits. I could barely manage another mouthful.
