Breakfast was a real treat, with freshly cooked food, great coffee and juice, plus a newspaper. The staff were all so friendly, and the bar was busy. Even so, it was quiet in the room despite being right in the middle of town. Everything was spotless and comfortable, with lovely treats and all the facilities we needed. Booking was a spur-of-the-moment decision, and I’m so glad I did. Check-in and checkout were quick, the price was great, and I’d happily recommend it to a friend and come again.

The staff were lovely and really friendly to a tired traveller. The location is spot on for a day or two hiking in the Malvern Hills. My room felt fresh and comfortable, and the shower was great. Every meal was freshly cooked and top notch. 12 out of 10 every time.

The pie was mouthwatering, and we both ordered one. Emma was so welcoming and helpful, treating us as if we were guests in her own home. We took a chance on lunch while visiting Great Malvern and were glad we did. Thanks to the chef, we’ll be back.

The food was a big reason to visit, and the beer selection was wonderful, with quality and condition way ahead of other local pubs. It’s a quirky independent hotel with thoughtful little touches and self-deprecating jokes, like calling the car park crappy. Most of all, it made us feel like special guests. Jeremy and Rani were warm and welcoming, and handled our large group brilliantly.

The location is central and well placed, and the included breakfast was generous. Our 'room' was actually a well-equipped apartment across the street from the hotel, which made for a strange setup. The first staff member we met at the hotel was brusque, almost rude, though the others were more welcoming.
