The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained, just as I’ve come to expect from Premier Inn wherever I stay. The price felt fair for the quality, and this location was convenient for work or leisure. What stood out this time was the team: everyone was friendly, professional and helpful, and made the stay easy from start to finish. Premier Inn is dependable for comfort, service and value. I’d happily stay again.

The staff have always been good during our stays. The location suits us for Didsbury and Fallowfield, and this is what you’d expect from a Premier Inn. There hasn’t been a restaurant or bar on our last few visits. I think they’re building a new one, and there’s a small temporary shed out front serving breakfast at reasonable prices.

My family and I had a terrible stay, and there was no apology from either the staff or Premier Inn. I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially for families. We’d booked an accessibility room, but it was at the end of a corridor up a flight of stairs. If there were a fire and the lift failed, someone with a disability would be at extreme risk. The restaurant was out of order, so breakfast was in a makeshift hut. That hut was closed on the first day because of frozen pipes. On our third night, at 00:30, flashing lights and the smoke alarm woke us. We had a baby with us, so we got dressed and evacuated. The alarm stopped, we went back to bed, and it sounded again. We were told steam from a shower had set it off, and the entire hotel had to evacuate outside in the middle of winter. We returned to bed, but it kept going off until 01:30. Our baby was badly distressed and struggled to sleep again, and we had to be up for work at 7am. The next day there was no hot water, so we had cold showers. We’d requested daily fresh sheets, but had to ask for them to be changed. It seemed that sheet changes weren’t included. They were clearly filthy because our son had spilled prune puree on them. At night, you can hear people upstairs walking on creaky floorboards, so the rooms aren’t fully soundproof.

The room was clean enough to be comfortable, and the staff were friendly. I stayed for a United game. The area itself is quiet, but it’s a short Uber ride from the stadium and town centre. The low price makes it okay for one night, but the terrible creaking floors would put me off a longer stay. Every step inside rooms and along corridors made a noise, so you could hear whenever someone walked past. When cleaners came at 6am, I couldn’t get back to sleep. If undisturbed sleep matters to you, I’d give it a miss.

The room and area were brilliant, with lots of parking. It’s right by the M60, so getting to Warrington or south Manchester was easy. The staff were friendly and helpful too, and I loved my time here. Would recommend!
