TRIBE Manchester Airport

The bar can get busy and finding a seat isn’t always easy, but the Italian restaurant serves superb food. Breakfast is a hot and cold buffet and is reasonable for the price, though I sometimes find the hot dishes have been sitting out for a while. I’ve stayed here several times around early flights or late returns. The rooms are clean and lovely, the beds comfortable, and it’s quiet. The shower room is a good size and toiletries are provided. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room as well. I think it’s a fabulous hotel.

The room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast was good. It was an easy walk to Terminal 2 for our flight, and just as simple on the way back: we picked up the keys from reception and got the car from the same car park where we’d left it. Once we’d found the car park, which wasn’t obvious, the walk to the hotel was easy. Highly recommended.

We had a very good one-night stay ahead of an early flight. The room was modern and comfortable, and we were very pleased with both the hotel and restaurant. I’d stay again if the APH parking deal in co-op with “Tribe” were still available.

We really enjoyed the downstairs atmosphere in the evening. Having a drink by the bar felt more like being in a stylish bar than an airport hotel, and the reception, bar and restaurant area looks great. The room was spacious and comfy, with a huge bathroom, though the sink seemed unusually low. It was very cold downstairs, perhaps from the door draft or the air conditioning, and I needed a big jumper, but the atmosphere was still good. The breakfast spread had excellent choice and everything I tried was good quality, but it felt expensive. In the evening we were told it cost £15 per person, so we held off while deciding what to do before the football the next day. When we chose to have breakfast in the morning, the price was £18, with £15 applying only if booked in advance. Reception hadn’t mentioned that, and when I raised it, the apology felt half-hearted. £18 each for a buffet breakfast at an airport hotel is a lot, and guests should be told about the price difference before deciding. I felt they should have acknowledged the mistake more sincerely and offered something more. I hope staff make the price clear to guests in future. Despite that, I enjoyed the stay and would return.
