Weston Hall - Halls of Residence

There’s plenty around these halls, with the train station, grocery stores and university all nearby in the city centre. The shared spaces are good too, including a pool, ping pong and room to relax. The washing machines are decent.

I live here now, and the noise from the daycre below has been a nightmare. Kids scream from 8am to 7pm, and complaints haven’t led to anything being done. It’s affected my mental health, academic year and results. I can’t even talk on the phone or join video calls without the screaming in the background. I have proof and wish I could attach audio. We and our parents pay so much for us to live and study here, and this is what we get. I wouldn’t suggest it at all, though this is only about Silver Core Postgrads.

The maintenance team are great whenever something goes wrong, and the halls themselves are good. The bedrooms are smaller than others at uom, though. If you’re after a sociable or active flat and lifestyle, I’d choose fallow or somewhere else. Honestly, it really isn’t value for money.

Weston Hall feels welcoming, with decor that mixes modern touches and a more traditional look. The rooms are roomy and well looked after, and they have the basics you need, including a comfortable bed, desk space and decent storage. It’s a comfortable option if you want somewhere quiet and convenient.
