I’d happily stay at Yotel Deansgate again next time I’m in Manchester, for work or a personal trip. It was booked through work and I didn’t expect much from the brand, but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. The location is fantastic, the decor is trendy, and the bed is comfy. The shower had amazing water pressure, it was fairly quiet, and the room had everything I needed despite being small. There’s a smart TV, plenty of sockets and handy spaces built into the bed for charging a phone or setting down water. My room, 419, had no natural light in winter because the building outside was very close and very tall. I also loved that irons and ironing boards were set out at the tea and coffee point. Having to call down for an iron is a huge bugbear of mine. Breakfast had lots of choice, and checking in and out on the iPad was a nice touch.

The restaurant and bar were fabulous, with delicious food at a great price, and we’ll definitely stay again. Check-in was quick and straightforward, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, and the room was clean and nicely decorated. The only thing we didn’t like was the shared coffee and tea station. We once walked past and saw an unappetising cup of coffee sitting on the counter, which put us off using the machine.

Nube was a huge help when I needed to change my booking at the last minute, and got it sorted so quickly. Getting around was easy too, with most major hotspots within walking distance. The rooms are nicely kept, with good-sized beds and plenty of places to plug things in, including EU sockets and USB ports for travellers.

The Autism-Friendly setup made a real difference to me. Staff seemed to have training or experience with it, which felt especially reassuring on my first solo trip. They were wonderful when something happened that really shook me, even though it wasn't the hotel's fault, and they went out of their way to cheer me up with a birthday surprise. They even seemed sad to see me leave after my six night stay, which I've never experienced before. I'll be back! I had a First Class King on the 7th floor, and it was a great choice. This place has its own quirks because it wasn't originally a YOTEL, and I liked that. The bed was comfortable, the tech worked really well, and fast Wi-Fi with Chromecast support was plenty for me. It's handy for transport too, with trams just minutes away and easy access to pretty much everything.

The location was perfect, close to a car park and the town centre. The room and hotel were modern, beautiful and very clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. 10/10, I'd definitely stay again when I'm back in Manchester!
