The breakfast is BANGIN, and Fe and Mel make wonderful hosts. They're friendly, organised and flexible, while still giving you space. We stayed in Thea both times, and the bathtub was perfect after a dip in the tidal pool, just a five-minute walk away. The room was spotless, cosy, quiet and luxurious on both visits. This was our second time at the DH, and I loved it just as much. Can't recommend it highly enough. I'll be back 💞💞💞

The extra touches made our weekend stay at DH especially lovely: breakfast brought to our room, complimentary early check-in and a huge board of great Margate recommendations. We'd highly recommend it for a visit. Our "Bailey's" room had plenty of space and everything we needed, plus nice extras like a robe and slippers. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure. DH is in Cliftonville, a nice part of Margate to explore. There are lots of restaurants and galleries on Northdown Rd, and it's close to Shell Grotto, so we got to see this side of town too.

Fe and Mel were welcoming and helpful owners. The B&B is just off Northdown Road, with plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. We went to Sete, which was amazing too. Our one-night weekend stay at the Doghouse was lovely. We had the Bailey room, which was clean, bright and spacious, with lovely white linen and big bath towels. Everything felt thoughtfully done. We ordered breakfast ahead through a link, and the pancakes were delicious and plentiful. The granola was too.

Free parking was a welcome bonus, and the neighborhood felt interesting and a little bohemian without trying too hard. We had a wonderfully quiet, restful room, with thoughtful extras like robes and slippers. Breakfast came to the room and was lovely, especially the poached egg with mushrooms on toast. We also appreciated being able to make our own tea and coffee.

Lizzy was thoroughly spoiled with egg and sausage breakfasts, and we got to enjoy dinner at Séte thanks to the dog-sitting service. Fe made us feel at ease and was there when needed while giving us space to enjoy our break. We picked Doghouse Margate so we could visit Walpole Tidal Pool and the community sauna with our greyhound, and it worked perfectly for that. The breakfast delivered to our room had more choice than most B&Bs, from pancakes and a veggie fry up to bagels, all delicious. The duvet was next level too. I've already recommended the place to lots of friends, and would highly recommend it to anyone after a relaxed bit of luxury in a cool Margate neighborhood with their dog.
