The breakfast was incredible, made with local produce and so tasty. Our room was cosy, and the old mill itself has a really cool, traditional feel. Lynda and Tony were amazing hosts and welcomed us warmly at very short notice. A storm and our broken tent had changed our plans, and we were so grateful they had a room free and took us in. It was perfect that they’re dog friendly too. We’d love to come back and would absolutely recommend it. Thanks so much, Tony and Lynda!

The setting was so peaceful and beautiful, and we had a wonderfully relaxing short stay. The breakfasts were among the best we’ve ever had, excellently prepared and made mostly with home-grown produce. Our rooms were comfortable and well prepared, with everything we needed. Lynda and Tony gave us a warm welcome and were perfect hosts, full of local information and advice. The historic building is fascinating, full of quirky surprises, and there’s something different to notice every time you look around. We have no hesitation in recommending this lovely place.

The countryside nearby is beautiful, with loads of good walks. Inside, our bedroom was large and very comfortable, with a lovely en-suite, and the breakfasts were incredible: delicious, with huge portions and lots of choice. Tony and Lynda were cheerful, friendly, and helpful hosts who made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. A fantastic B&B.

I’m already looking forward to my next stay at The Wheelhouse. I had a wonderful few days, with excellent food, unique surroundings, and Lynda’s delicious scones. Tony and Lynda gave me such a friendly welcome, and it felt like a home away from home. For me, a good hotel is one you’d plan your next holiday around returning to, and this is one of them.

The weather was awful, but Tony and Lynda made us feel so welcome. Their company was tops, and the food was terrific, especially all those homemade jams. The room was great, cosy and comfortable too. Awesome place to stay. Geoff and Philippa would recommend it to anyone passing through Martock.
