Burt’s Hotel Restaurant lived up to its strong recommendation. The ingredients were great, the food was cooked very well and presented beautifully. Gluten free diners have an especially good range of options, including on the dessert menu. Service was friendly and attentive. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone staying in or visiting Melrose.

We couldn't have been happier with our venue choice. My partner and I spent two nights here, including a family dinner for 13 in the private dining room. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the restaurant food was first class. The house claret was first class too. Highly recommended.

My local friend suggested I stay here for my first visit to Melrose, and I'm glad I did. The room was cozy and comfortable, and I had both lunch and breakfast there. Both meals tasted very nice, and every staff member was kind and friendly. I was really impressed and hope to come back in the near future. Thank you for such a perfect stay.

We were staying in Melrose and went to the restaurant for dinner one evening. The meal was stunning: crispy shiitake mushroom burger, rare beef salad, and chocolate fondants. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I'd absolutely recommend it and will return next time I'm in Melrose.

The rooms were spotless and well appointed, with really comfortable beds. Breakfast was fabulous, including real Stornoway Black Pudding, and the welcome and service were friendly. A lovely hotel, really very good.
