Spread Eagle Hotel and Spa

We did the Just Peachy Spa Day, and it was a fantastic experience from the moment we booked. The facilities were clean, there was plenty of poolside seating, and the food and drinks were delicious. The treatments were amazing too. Libby was patient, friendly, and helpful with our booking. Nann and Liaya gave us our treatments and were kind, respectful, and friendly. I’m already looking for a chance to return, this time with my Mum. Thank you!

The staff really look after you, and we loved the traditional feel and values of this beautiful historic hotel. We also enjoyed the spa and can’t wait to come back and use its attached outdoor space. Every part of the hotel deserves five stars.

The afternoon tea was delicious, and everyone was helpful and accommodating without rushing us. We went on a Monday afternoon, so it wasn’t especially busy and we had plenty of time to relax. For our Vintage Afternoon Tea and Treatment for Two at the Spread Eagle Hotel and Spa, we started with a massage, which was deeply relaxing and expertly done. We then enjoyed the indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam and spa facilities. I’d definitely recommend it and would visit again.

The staff were so helpful, from the warm welcome at the entrance to bringing fresh milk to our room and finding an ice bucket when we asked. An hour after we’d driven away, I realised I’d left my watch. I called, and they found it and kindly posted it back to me. My husband booked the room as a birthday treat, and it was one of our nicest hotel stays. It felt luxurious while still being relaxed. The spa was amazing, and I could have spent even more time there. Breakfast was delicious too, with hot dishes and continental choices including homemade jams and overnight oats. We’ll definitely return, hopefully for a few days so we can make the most of the spa.
