This was our second stay at Barnkirk holidays in two years, and the cottage still had everything we needed for a holiday. It’s beautiful, and I’d happily recommend it. There are also three caravans on site, which seem very popular.

We found it a peaceful spot for a short break while exploring the area. The host was friendly and very helpful, so I’d recommend staying here.

We’ve stayed here before and it makes a handy base for visiting other places. The owners are a lovely, helpful couple, and although there are three static caravans on site, the place still feels private and is well maintained. Dogs are welcome, which is a bonus, and the ones we saw were very well behaved. The cottage is beautiful and spacious, with a downstairs bedroom and en suite that could suit guests with mobility issues. The gravel drive might be difficult depending on your mobility. We can’t praise it enough.

The setting was lovely and peaceful, with beautiful sunsets, even though it’s just off the main road. We had a great holiday and would definitely return. The cottage had a big lounge, large bedrooms, and an enclosed garden for the dogs. The kitchen was fantastic and had everything we needed, including a washer dryer. There was even a travel cot for our wee guy, though it wasn’t mentioned in the advert. And I loved the roll top bath.

We stayed from 23 June to 26 June and had a really peaceful, pleasant break. There are open views and plenty of quiet, something that’s hard to find these days. Go there for some proper downtime, you won’t regret it.
