The service was quick, and the staff were cheerful and friendly. I had roast beef with all the trimmings for Sunday lunch, which was lovely. My husband really enjoyed his burger and chips. We'll definitely eat here again.

My partner and I stopped in for lunch while passing through today and both ordered steak. It was delicious, the service was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. I'd definitely recommend it.

We came for a pub meal, not an overnight stay. The atmosphere was great, the staff friendly, and there was a good choice on the menu. The whitebait and Stilton mushroom starters were fab and arrived hot. The mains were nice enough, but only the mash was hot. The vegetables were lukewarm, and the plates could have been hotter too.

We couldn't hear the traffic even though this lovely country pub is beside the road. Lunch was gorgeous, and the staff were friendly and very efficient. We'll certainly be back.

We're very local and had hoped this could become a regular place, but sadly it won't. I ordered the lamb tagine because it sounded nice, though it could have done with some spice. The meringue roulade was frustrating too: there was no meringue, just a thin sliver of roulade with a drizzle of sauce, for around £7. It seemed like very little work for a lot of money. No more visits or support from me.
