I'm disabled, and the staff went above and beyond to help me. Mike and Alan deserve a shout-out for all their help. The food was excellent, well cooked, and served in good portions. Breakfast was good too, especially the sausages and excellent poached eggs. A pleasant stay.

We held a function here after a funeral, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. When part of the main party from Watford was delayed, they took charge and got things started on time. The food and drinks were delicious and piping hot, and while the weather outside was awful, it was warm and cosy inside. Many thanks to everyone who helped make it a lovely day.

We stay here regularly when visiting family, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. My husband has mobility issues, so we request a ground floor twin room with a separate shower. The problem is that we keep ending up in a room miles from reception, I think it might be 454, and he struggles with that long walk.

The music was fantastic at the Carcary Bell Ceilidh winter dance weekend. Steven and Graham put on a great shindig, with a busy dance floor and a full house enjoying the afternoon session too. I came with six others, aged 15 to 80, to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday, and we were not let down. Our rooms were lovely and warm, and all the meals were delicious and hot. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always smiling, which made the break even more enjoyable. Thanks to everyone who made this special birthday weekend so memorable. We've already booked for next year 🙌🥳

The location was quiet and pleasant when I stayed in early May 2026. My room was clean and nicely decorated, and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant was very good, the food excellent, and the staff pleasant and helpful.
