Simon and his crew made us feel like locals and looked after us through several visits while we were staying nearby. We'd come in with my sons to watch football, and found just the sort of proper old-school place we wanted: open fire, football on the TV and a great atmosphere. What a find. We'll definitely come back when we're in the area. Thanks!

We stayed for two nights, and the traffic from the main road didn't bother us. The room comfortably fitted all three of us, the beds were comfortable, and the pub-style decor suited the place. Joey greeted my sisters and me with warmth, helpfulness and a sense of humour. Simon, Scott and the rest of the team made it feel like visiting family, with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. After checkout, Graham let us leave our luggage at the pub and even offered to drive us to the station when we came back for our cases. Such a lovely group of people. We'd love to return.

Simon and the team did everything they could to help us feel comfortable and welcome. The rooms were very comfortable, and we were met with warm hospitality and excellent service. I'd highly recommend this lovely hotel. 5/5.

After spending the day walking the local footpaths, we had a really good dinner here. The food was well prepared and the service spot on. It's a pleasant English pub with a bar next door, and we highly recommend it.

The manager was happy to help and checked that we were okay. The atmosphere was excellent. Brody Terry and Lynn say thank you, and we're looking forward to coming back to this beautiful village and what we think is the best pub.
