The mini-fridge in our room was stocked with breakfast items and sandwich fixings, which was handy. The family were so warm and welcoming, and the castle has a rich history. The bedroom and common room were even better than the pictures. Thanks for such a memorable stay!

My husband and I had half a castle to ourselves! The hosts were lovely and gave us space, which I sometimes worry about with B&Bs. The castle and grounds are beautiful, and we couldn’t have been happier with our honeymoon. 10/10, would stay again.

Sue gave us a great tour and history talk when we arrived, and there’s a lovely restaurant close by. We took Sue’s recommended taxi driver, who was very friendly. Thank you for the most wonderful experience of my life. Everyone was so friendly, and the breakfast spread was fantastic, like something out of this world. Highly recommended to anyone.

The private battlement has great views, and the cosy rooms spread over two levels had a woodburner, Wi-Fi, books, games, and a TV. The couple were fabulous and friendly. It’s a great quiet spot just east and above the A1 outside Edinburgh. I’ll recommend it and hope to visit in summer.

I always get a great welcome here. The castle has lots of historic features and is well placed for trips to Edinburgh, East Lothian, and the borders.
