The Barn

Breakfast was delicious and well prepared, and I would go back. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean, though it looked a bit tired in places and could use some TLC. There was an old fridge left in the grounds, and the children's play park also needs refreshing. The grass there needed cutting.

We enjoyed our stay. It's a great base for visiting the New Forest, with a clean, fairly spacious room. Continental breakfast starts at 8am.

The standout for me was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, kind and understanding, attentive to us and happy to help with anything. They also didn't push us out when the place was closing, which we really appreciated. It felt like a nice place to work, and that came through in how the staff treated us. I'd rate the venue 5 stars. It's beautiful, with lovely decor and a relaxed, cosy feel. I went for a wake and had no complaints. The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and I felt at ease in the pleasant atmosphere. The accommodation gets 3.5 stars from me. The room was basic and a bit outdated, the beds weren't very comfortable, and the continental breakfast was the bare minimum with no hot food option. In my opinion, it wasn't worth £100. It was spotless, though, so hats off to the cleaners. If we're in the area again, we'd gladly come back.

The roast was so tasty that, for once, I didn't need to add salt. The food was delicious, and the service was very good, kind and cordial.
