We had a fantastic time in this spacious house. It’s been updated with all the modern comforts, while still keeping the character of its age. The upstairs bedrooms did get very hot during the heat wave when we visited. They’re well insulated, but the windows are small and there wasn’t a way to get a breeze through. That was a minor issue, though.

The building and setting are beautiful, but the beds were too short for me. I’m just 5'7" and my feet stuck out over the end. We also had trouble with access and charging. Those problems were sorted out, but they were the last things we needed on day one. There are three apartments with different names, and we and other guests hadn’t been told about that.

The beds were really comfy, and the barn conversion was clean and had everything we needed. It’s only a couple of minutes by car to the banks of the river Trent, so it’s a handy spot for fishing or a walking break.

I loved every minute in these lodges. They’re spotless and have everything you need, with towels and bedding included ❤️❤️❤️❤️. A lovely place if you’re after some peace and quiet.

We had a wonderfully relaxed, sleepover-style Hen Party here. The house was lovely and clean, laid out really well, and everyone slept well. It’s in a lovely setting too.
