John & Pablo were such welcoming, friendly hosts, and the breakfast was clearly made with love. Pablo's homemade jam was gorgeous too. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with no outside noise at all, even on a Saturday night. The bed, pillows, and duvet were just right for comfort, and the bathroom felt like something out of a dream. We had a wonderful time and hope to return. I can’t recommend this little b&b enough.

The room had lots of interesting antique furniture, plenty of space, and a gorgeous large bathroom. I slept peacefully and woke up to an awesome breakfast. I had such a pleasant evening at The Lions and have never felt so relaxed at a bed and breakfast. Thanks for the warm welcome. I hope to return in 2026.

The artwork on the walls was absolutely stunning, and the room was clean and nice with a beautiful bathroom. John and Pablo were really lovely hosts, welcoming and clearly on top of their game.

After a great night’s sleep, we went down to a very tasty breakfast, including homemade plum jam. The Lions was an easy walk from Newark town centre, so heading there for dinner was simple. We were warmly greeted and shown to a lovely room that was spacious, airy, clean, and beautifully furnished. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend The Lions.

John & Pablo couldn’t have been more welcoming, and their VIP customer service really stood out during our two-night stay for a wedding. Breakfast was top notch, and our room was comfortable and spacious. The en-suite bathroom was palatial and very luxurious. My only qualm, if I’m being extremely picky, was that there was no wardrobe in the bedroom. Otherwise, we’d definitely recommend the place and stay again.
