The room was immaculate and had everything I needed. I chose Travelodge for a stopover instead of heading home, at £25, and was astonished by how good it was. There were 40 rooms upstairs, but I was first put in the one right opposite the stairway entrance. I went back to ask why, and was moved to a room at the far end. You could still hear the door and people there, so I can only imagine how noisy the first room would have been. It didn’t make sense to give me that one. Apart from that, five stars. Thank you, Travelodge.

The staff are incredibly helpful and easy to talk to, and the hotel is extremely clean with spacious rooms. The location does make it a little noisy, but that wasn’t a deal breaker. I’d suggest providing bath mats to prevent slipping, as the bath is a bit higher than average and could use proper mats.

The hotel and its location both felt very safe, and it was good value for money. Thanks to the reception staff for arranging a quiet room for me on the ground floor.

We used this as a stopover on the way to Southampton, and the staff were excellent. We were welcomed with a warm smile, and the room was spacious, spotless, and had a bath. Parking was easy, with M&S next door for food. A couple of glasses or paper cups would’ve been handy for our wine, as we didn’t want to drink it from a coffee mug. There used to be plastic cups in the bathroom. That small issue aside, we’d definitely stay again. One of the better Travelodge hotels.

We had a spacious room with lots of room to spread out, and the staff were friendly and helpful when we arrived. I’d already had a good feeling about the stay after calling to confirm a cot. Since I was on my own with a child and luggage, they asked if I’d prefer a ground-floor room. The lobby vending machine was useful for a midnight snack, and Moto services is less than a five-minute walk away. We stayed five nights in February 2025, and I’ll definitely book here again next time I’m in England. Five out of five for me.
