Sophie, the landlady, puts a lot into making people feel welcome, and the staff are all friendly. The Little Vic has a relaxed, warm atmosphere and a good choice of drinks, whether you fancy beer, wine or something else. There are lots of community events too, including Cheese & Wine evenings, pub quizzes and karaoke, with more besides. A lovely local for a drink and some entertainment.

We love this pub and how friendly it is. They’re always trying to put on different experiences. The cheese and wine night was great, and an absolute bargain at £10 per person. I think we had about 7 wines, plus plenty of cheese and crackers. 🙌🏼🫶🏻👍🏼

I’ve stayed at the Vic many times over the past 2 years, and Sophie and Julie always look after me so well. Being far from home has been tough, but they’ve made each visit lovely with their warm, accommodating welcome. I’ve probably stayed in every room by now, and they’re all comfortable, warm and well equipped, with amazingly comfortable beds. Everything works properly, and the little touches are much appreciated. It’s affordable as well, and the pub has a great atmosphere with friendly locals, fun quizzes and music.

Our recently refurbished room was lovely and relaxing. It had an ensuite shower with complimentary shampoo and hand cleanser, plus a fridge stocked with milk. They also provided tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. We enjoyed our stay.

Really clean room, lovely staff, and the softest, most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. The linens were nice, proper cotton. Just be aware there’s a pub below. We stayed on a Friday, but I found the noise quite comforting, with people having a good time. Definitely a plus if you like a pint before bed. I’d stay again.
