Roomzzz Newcastle Apartment Hotel

We booked through Airbnb and paid under £40 per person per night. Such good value for what we got. The kitchenette had everything we needed, including a sink, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher, and the room was spotless. The bathroom felt luxurious, with a big rainfall shower and heated tile floor. Lobby staff were friendly and helpful, and there are free hot drinks all day plus a croissant at breakfast if you want one. They made our little Newcastle trip a lovely one :)

Our rooms have been very quiet on both visits, whether in the newer extension or the comfortable annex in the older building. The extended part has well-equipped rooms, and the location is superb. One Sunday morning the free coffee machine in the lobby was broken, and I skipped the free cold croissants since there was no butter or jam either. The staff were happy to cook a couple of gluten-free ones for my partner, which was a nice touch.

The staff were incredibly helpful, even showing me how to use the tumble dryer when I did laundry midweek. I chose this place because I thought making my own dinner would save money, and I was impressed by the clean, quiet room, the great bed and crisp white linen. The kitchen had everything I needed, spatulas included. One night a fire in another room set off the extractor fan and woke me, but otherwise the stay has been amazing.

Helpful, friendly staff and a nice place overall. I made good use of the free hot drinks machine in the communal area, available all day, and there are a washer and dryer too, with detergent for sale. The room had cooking gear, a hob, microwave/grill, towels, an iron and board, and a hairdryer. A few things let it down: some pans and cutlery hadn't been washed, and the table and mattress were damaged. The bathroom floor got unbearably hot when the heating was on and scalded my feet. Pets are allowed, which could bother people with allergies or sensitivity to pet smells. A few things could be improved.
