The Benwell Apartments

The owner seemed like a nice bloke, but he appeared too busy running a shop to look after this place properly. After I’d complained for two days, a big saucepan and a spatula were delivered, which felt like a joke. It might suit a couple of men staying for work, such as shopfitters, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else. The place wasn’t as described. There was no cleaner or toiletries, and barely any kitchenware: one fork, one spoon and one plate. The room and balcony hadn’t been cleaned properly. It had a kettle, microwave and ceramic hob, but no toaster, oven or utensils. The area felt dodgy too, so don’t leave valuables in your vehicle. Parking is self-service, and the front door is shared with a lot of other people, which doesn’t feel good these days. The house smelled of cannabis, though Travelodges do too.
