Holiday Inn Milton Keynes East M1jct.14

The room where we held our wedding at the Holiday Inn Newport Pagnell last Saturday was stunning, and the breakfast was amazing. Libby, the wedding planner, went above and beyond, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are very dated, which is my only criticism, but they were extremely clean and comfortable. Great value for money. Thank you for a lovely day.

We were not impressed by our Fawlty Towers themed weekend at Holiday Inn, Milton Keynes East, and customer services still hadn't replied more than a week after I sent them this account. My partner booked room 14 for Saturday 25th October. The package included Afternoon Tea, but getting there meant stepping over large pipes that ran into what looked like a boiler room. The room for tea was cold because the heating wasn't working; staff brought in oil filled electric heaters for the large space. There were very few staff, and they were still setting up when we arrived, so service for hot drinks and food took a long time. Our room was cold too. The radiator stayed cold when I turned up its thermostat. Reception said two other rooms had reported the same issue, but housekeeping had gone home and there was no maintenance staff, so they couldn't fix it. I asked for an electric heater and was told they'd try to find one. We went to our friends in room 2 in the meantime, since their radiator also wasn't working but they had a heater. There was no heater in our room when we got back, and we changed for the dinner disco in the cold. The event room had warmed up a little by the evening. At dinner, the soup came with a dessert spoon instead of a soup spoon, and I had to ask for condiments. The food itself was very good. Around midnight, our room still had no heater. Breakfast began with just one staff member, with another arriving later. Fried eggs, bacon and mushrooms were running low. When we asked for more, we were told it would take 40 minutes because the kitchen gas had gone off. The food arrived sooner, but it still took about 15+ minutes. It felt as if we'd really been at the Fawlty Towers Hotel.

The room was spotless, quiet and comfortable, and dinner at the restaurant was amazing, both in quality and presentation. We stayed at Holiday Inn Milton Keynes for Valentine’s Day to celebrate our anniversary, and the staff made it feel special with thoughtful touches. Thanks to everyone for making it so memorable. We'll definitely be back.

During several stays at Holiday Inn Milton Keynes East M1 Jct 14, the whole team has been polite, kind and welcoming, including the kitchen staff. Receptionist Himali Ali and the rest of the team made each visit feel warm and dependable. They even helped retrieve a coat I'd forgotten, with no hassle. Thanks for always going the extra mile. Looking forward to staying again soon.
