Ellie made the visit stand out. She was friendly, bubbly and chatty, and looked after us throughout without getting in the way. That's the sort of service people in the industry could learn from. The food at the Pied Bull was excellent, some of the best around, and I'll definitely come back. Highly recommended.

The relaxed, welcoming atmosphere made this a lovely place for a long Sunday lunch. The staff were attentive and friendly, especially our waitress Erin, and a great pint went nicely with the meal. The roast was generous without being over the top, arrived hot and looked lovely. Everything had loads of flavour, including the seasonal veg and rich, proper gravy. The meat was tender and cooked just right, with golden Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes crisp outside and fluffy inside. One of the best Sunday roasts we've had. We'll be back next Sunday.

The Pied Bull felt warm and cosy while still having an elegant feel. Our food and drinks arrived promptly, and the staff were polite, attentive and did their best to make sure we had a good time. Best Sunday roast I've ever had. I'd happily recommend a visit and will be back.

We've been coming for the quiz for ages, and now we're Sunday roast regulars too. On our visit we tried both the beef and chicken roasts, and both were delicious, full of flavour and generously portioned. The staff are always welcoming and attentive, and really make you feel looked after. Highly recommend for a proper Sunday roast.

Everyone in our group said how good the food was. We'd pre-ordered, and everything came out promptly and correctly. I booked a table for seven between Christmas and New Year; it was ready with crackers and a Christmas table runner, a lovely touch. We arrived at different times, and a friendly young woman took each person's drink order as they got there. Thanks for a wonderful evening!
