Wall Hill Farm

I stayed in the Feng Shui room for two nights. Although I arrived late, the hosts' instructions made it easy to find the key card. The guest house and its location were really nice. I only tried the porridge at breakfast, but it was freshly made and tasty. I also liked the room's book of local restaurant suggestions. Riverside Inn was very nice. A few small points: the orange juice had pulp, which isn't my preference, and one of the mattresses in the Feng Shui room was very soft. I'd have preferred a firmer one. The room was very warm, though I know no one can control the UK weather. Even with those things, it was still a five-star guesthouse and stay.

The scenery is beautiful, and I imagine the location must be wonderful in sunshine. We had a lovely stay, with excellent breakfast and hospitality. The room felt a bit tired, but it was warm and very comfortable, just what we needed. We'd definitely stay again if we're in the area. Recommended.

The rooms each have their own style and were clean and perfectly good to stay in. The staff were lovely, the food was nice, and I appreciated the room book with information about local businesses and the farm's history. There are gluten-free options that are safe for people with coeliac disease. Outside the car park, the scenery was lovely. A few things could be improved: the lighting in the room was very dim, and the old-style sockets meant the only place to plug in a phone charger was by the dressing table. A bedside socket would be better. The TV could also be bigger. Given these points, I thought the room price was a bit high.
