The host was kind, which makes this even more disappointing, but I would never book here again. The only thing going for the place is its location. I was left with the impression that management must know about the problem, because the smell was impossible to miss. Guests should not be put in flat3 in that condition. The main bathroom reeked of mould. I couldn't see enough mould to explain it, but the odour was so overpowering it gave me a headache. I'd never encountered a mould smell like that before, and it felt like a health hazard. As soon as I entered the building, I noticed a strong mouldy smell and regretted the last minute booking, though I didn't have many other options. The flat was filthy throughout. There were awful marks on the sofa and stains on the carpet, plus white patches on the walls that might have been mould. The shower area was mouldy too, and the pink patches on the metal hose made it look as if only the obvious parts had been cleaned. There was heavy limescale on both the kitchen sink and dish drainer. It's upsetting that the people running this place let guests stay in those conditions. I can't imagine anyone failing to notice that smell.

The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and both bathrooms were clean and looked after, which made the apartment convenient. Still, a bed had slats out of position and wasn't comfortable. We also found an empty beer can in the bathroom, so it didn't seem to have been fully cleaned before we arrived. There was mould on some of the walls as well, which concerned us. The apartment has potential, but these things need attention for future stays.

It was clean and comfortable, and the noise was manageable for sleeping since the bedrooms were at the back. The living room and kitchen, though, were extremely noisy from the pubs next door and people outside. The locks also stick, and it took several tries to get one to open.

A tidy, pleasant apartment, and having a bath in each room was great. It suited two couples and was very affordable. The music from the clubs may bother some people, and parking was an absolute nightmare, so plan that part of the stay carefully. I'd still recommend it if the music isn't an issue.
