The location worked really well, with the city centre and UEA nearby and a bus stop right across the road. There’s plenty of space inside and outside the house, so it feels open and lively. The shared kitchen and bathrooms are roomy, and cleaners come regularly to look after the common areas. The bedrooms are cosy and compact. It’s also well equipped, with fast WiFi, a proper kitchen, a heater in every room and vacuum cleaners. Jaydee, the house manager, is kind and does her best to help everyone.

I’ve lived at Somerleyton House Norwich for a year, and the location is handy for all sorts of amenities, with a bus stop just a minute away. The rent is reasonable, and the heating is really good and well regulated. Rooms are a decent size, and the toilets, bathrooms, kitchen, dining room and corridors are spacious and always very clean. Cleaners come once a week, then tenants take turns looking after the shared spaces. The one issue for me is the laundry room, which everyone uses, and some people misuse it. I use a public laundry service three minutes away instead. If you need a room or flat, come to Somerleyton House. You won’t be disappointed. Come one, come all.

It’s a short walk into Norwich city centre, and the university bus stop is close by. The ensuite rooms are spacious, bills are included in the rent, and a cleaner comes weekly for the shared areas. Staff respond quickly when something needs repairing.

I had a terrible experience and would avoid this place. The rooms were misadvertised and cost an extortionate amount for what you get. When we viewed them, they were trashed, with rubbish and garden furniture inside. The landlord was greedy and held us to ransom over a change to the tenancy terms because of an upcoming law change, demanding the full tenancy payment. My brother nearly ended up homeless because of it.

I was nervous when I first moved in, but JD helped me a lot and made me feel safe there the whole time. She’s friendly and treats everyone well. I’d definitely recommend the place to my friends.
