The rooms have been great each time my partner and I have stayed here as temporary accommodation while unhoused. They’re spacious, the beds are comfortable, the WiFi and TV are good, and the AC is simple to use. Depending on the room, the shower or bath has good water pressure, and there’s body lotion as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The only room issue is that the toilet flush sometimes doesn’t work properly. The location is very central, though it seems to attract drunk 20-somethings who shout in the corridors. That’s why I’ve marked it down. Most of the staff are lovely, but a couple have been rude to us because of our situation. It’s upsetting to be judged and put in a box just because we’re going through a hard time, and sadly that still happens. I’m disabled and use a stick, or a walker on particularly bad days. Jamie, one of the night staff, helped with anything I needed. Once, a drunk girl kept watching through her peephole for me to go to the lifts when I went to smoke, then came out crying and asking me to explain my disability, give her money and go into her room. Jamie saw it happen more than once, came to help, and made sure I was okay. He’s an asset to the hotel. Jack, another night staff member, is always happy to help us whatever the time. There are a couple of other staff I’d mention positively too, but I don’t know their names. It’s a great hotel.

The room was comfortable and clean, but the stay felt underwhelming for what we paid. We’d told them in advance it was my 30th birthday and nothing was acknowledged. Even a birthday greeting or late checkout would have made it feel more special. Breakfast wasn’t included in an already high room rate, which added to the poor value. We wouldn’t stay again at that price.

Ellie at reception was lovely and helped us a lot during our stay at Nottingham Garner hotel. The location is brilliant, and having a luggage room where they let us leave our bags after checkout was very nice of them. Not every hotel offers that. We enjoyed our stay. If you’re particular about hygiene, you might notice something in the room that bothers you, though the towels and beds were spotless.

The breakfast team were so welcoming, especially Mo & Star. On my last day, Mo kindly gave me a caramel coffee sachet, which I really needed before a long day of work and travel. Thank you, I’d stay again. The rooms are clean, modern and a good size. There’s no restaurant for evening meals, which suited me as I planned to eat out. If you’re travelling for work and have an allowance, you can order Deliveroo on an iPad and have it added to your room.

A great stay for the price, and I’d definitely come back. The room was clean, comfortable and roomy, with an extra large double bed and a bigger TV than I usually see in hotels. There was an iron and ironing board, plus plenty of hangers and rail space. The location was great as well.
