The outside looked neglected, with several dead plants in pots, and the place seemed badly short on staff. One stressed man was handling everything, even making breakfast. When we arrived there was no friendly greeting, just a shocked look, as if nobody expected us. We'd paid a deposit for a twin room, but ours had been given away. We ended up with a double room each, which was a bonus, I suppose. A lot needs improving. We won't return.

The staff were lovely and really accommodating. They even brought dinner and dessert for our 11-month-old. We had a great Sunday roast at the Noel, with generous portions, perfectly cooked vegetables and surprisingly juicy chicken breast. The duck wrap made a great starter, and the sticky toffee pudding was lovely too. We'd definitely come back. 💯

Getting in was easy for my mum because they have disabled access as well as steps. The staff were attentive and gave us a wonderful welcome. My burger was probably the best I've had in ages, and Mum's ham and egg sandwich looked fabulous too. Both were served very well. We'll be back soon, definitely. Thank you.

We stopped at the Noel in our campervan. They let us park for free and use the toilets, on the condition that we ate or drank there. The food was really good, and they were very helpful.

This was our third visit to the Noel Arms, and the food was incredible this time. We tried all four mains on the lunchtime menu, and each was excellent. The fish pie was packed with fish and seafood, with amazing cheesy mash on top. Service was very friendly, though a little informal. Compared with our previous visit under different management, this was a big improvement. It's a super location, and the changes since the previous landlady have been excellent. We'll definitely return and hope more people support them.
