I took a chance on the Old Pheasant for a work trip because it was affordable, served food, and was near my morning meeting. My colleague and I each had a room and both had a fantastic time. The rooms were tidy and comfortable, dinner was fantastic, and the staff were lovely and helpful. I'll absolutely stay here again on my next business trip.

Julianna and Cheryl made our stay memorable. Nothing was too much trouble, even fitting us in for a meal when I hadn't booked a table, entirely my fault. They also handled my fussy food requests perfectly. Thank you, girls! We absolutely loved our stay.

We really enjoyed our anniversary stay. The pub felt cosy and welcoming, and the decor throughout was beautiful. Our room was comfortable, and both dinners we had were excellent. The included continental breakfast was a nice touch, and the price was good value for money. We'd happily stay again or drop in for a nice meal next time we're in the area.

Bernard and his team made our October 2025 trip memorable. We stayed one night in the family room with our 8- and 10-year-olds, and wished we could have stayed longer. The room was spacious and worked perfectly for us: the main bedroom led to the twin room, then through to the bathroom. Great location, friendly staff, fantastic service, and good food and wine. I'd highly recommend it.

The bigger bed I asked for was enormous. I woke in the night and briefly thought I'd lost my partner in it! We had a lovely stay, with friendly staff, nice rooms and delicious food. No complaints. Thanks for having us!
