High Cliff Guest House

Small but cute rooms, and the bathrooms are surprisingly roomy. The glitter toilet seats are something you probably won’t see anywhere else for the rest of your life! Each room has its own ensuite and radiator. The Lismore has a handheld shower and a bathtub, though I’m not sure about the other rooms. There isn’t much room for large luggage, so bear that in mind. It’s an easy walk into town, around 7 minutes depending on your pace. People mention a hill, but it’s a very slight incline and easy enough. Fine in good weather, a little trickier in the rain. Maureen kindly lent us an umbrella for the walk. Breakfasts cooked to order by Maureen and her husband are second to none, and will keep you full all day. Get the scallops, you won’t regret it! The town has lots of seafood restaurants, plus Boots, Superdrug, Lidl and Tesco if you need anything. Not part of the B&B, but I’d also recommend The Seafood Shack for some of the best langoustines in town, with garlic butter.

The couple running this B&B were lovely and made us feel very welcome. The rooms were clean and nice, and breakfast was amazing. That's everything we needed. We'll be back as soon as we can.

A friendly welcome, a clean and lovely guest house, great breakfast, and really good value. What's not to like!
