Everyone we met on the team was friendly and clearly happy to work there. The hotel was excellent, and the room was quiet at night, with Freeview TV and a hot shower. The comfortable super king bed was six feet wide, and there was a Nespresso machine and kettle with enough pods and Galaxy hot chocolate. We booked the first night through a third-party app because the hotel’s website was significantly more expensive. When we booked in person, though, they offered us a much better rate without us asking. At the time, it was cheaper than any Travelodge within 100 miles, and I was thoroughly impressed. The only thing that might affect a future visit is that I didn’t see a lift, so if I couldn’t carry my bags upstairs, I’d check what could be arranged. We chose it to visit Oban, and once we checked in, we decided to stay an extra night rather than head back to Stirling. I fully intend to return.

I liked the hotel and the town, and would visit again. It’s right in the middle of town, so it’s easy to walk around. There wasn’t much staff interaction, as tailored information was provided before arrival, but the few staff members I met were courteous and friendly. Rooms were cleaned daily if needed.

The staff were very friendly and the whole stay was a great experience. My spacious room was spotless, with a lovely bathroom, a big shower and fluffy towels. There were fresh bottles of water, a coffee maker, tea bags and two Tunnock’s teacakes every day. I stayed at the Scot hotel for four nights, and would definitely recommend it. There’s plenty of parking at the back as well.

It was very quiet, which matters a lot to us, and the bed was comfortable. The shower area was spacious and the shower itself modern. The hotel was in a handy spot for our trip north, close to boat trips and with plenty of parking.

Breakfast was superb, the staff were very, very friendly, and the rooms were clean, modern and quiet. I was only here one night, but I’ll choose this hotel again. It’s a good place close to the centre of Oban.
