The bedroom was very clean, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. Neil, who served breakfast, was excellent. The staff were outstanding, especially Katie, who helped us with accessibility questions in detail before we arrived because of my husband's disability. She even moved her own car to help us find a space in the pub car park. We were also helped with our bags up and down the stairs. We gave every rating five stars except location, which got four. Our only difficulty was initially finding a parking space because of nearby residents' parking. Please bear in mind, this was an issue for us because of limited mobility.

A lovely traditional pub with rooms, and a very good bar menu at reasonable prices. Breakfast was just as excellent. Friendly, helpful staff made the stay memorable.

We had a wonderful Sunday roast lunch last Sunday, paired with a smooth stout. The Whole Baked Camembert with Garlic & Rosemary was a lovely way to start. For mains we had Roast Loin of Pork with Crackling and Cotswold Roast Leg of Lamb. The pork was beautifully cooked, succulent, juicy and tender, with an addictive crackling. The lamb was perfect too. Recommended.

The parking setup is a little unusual: you need to drive up over the curb to park on the plaza in front of the inn. There may have been a sign, but I didn't see one. I probably just missed it, though a sign would be helpful if there isn't one. My wife and I had a wonderful stay earlier this week for our 10 year anniversary trip. The room was clean, and they were accommodating with our requests. They were gracious when we arrived too late on Sunday to check in, sorry again, Rea! It was quiet, the room was nicely decorated, and they gave us special items that made the stay memorable.

We celebrated an 84th Birthday party on a Sunday. Most people chose the roast or fish and chips, and both were amazing. The service was excellent, and we'll definitely be going back.
