The pillows were much too soft for me, which was the only downside in the room. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it had sockets for charging. We had a standard double with a decent amount of space, an en suite with toiletries, a desk, coffee and tea, chairs, a table, a TV, wardrobe and hangers, an iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer. Breakfast came with the booking. It was a no-frills continental buffet with a nice range of choices. Even though the hotel was right by the airport, I didn't hear any airport noise and slept like a baby. We were only staying overnight while picking up a friend, and wished we could have stayed longer. Coming from Newcastle, the drive was uneventful and satnav got us there easily, though it took a bit of figuring out to enter the parking lot on our first visit. You drive through the airport grounds and follow the road markings. The arrivals bay was just a two-minute walk behind the hotel. It was busy with people coming and going for flights, but never chaotic, and the staff seemed to have things under control. There's a small lot for about 20 cars, as well as a long-stay car park building behind it. Parking is paid at check-in, and a machine by the hotel doors lets you pay for your stay. Each time you leave the airport grounds, you also need to get a ticket from reception to scan at the gates so you don't pay twice. A really nice stay. I'd consider Glasgow airport and this hotel again when travelling back home.

The staff were all kind and helpful, and everything was clean and well kept despite a bit of visible wear from the hotel's age. Our room and bathroom were fairly spacious and well equipped, with a hairdryer and kettle. The double windows couldn't be opened, but they kept the room quiet and relaxing. The hotel is directly across from the airport exit, making it a convenient place to stay by the terminal. We didn't have breakfast because of an early flight, so I can't comment on it. I'd recommend it, especially if you can get a good deal. I've also stayed at the Travelodge farther away on other occasions.

The location is fantastic, only about a two-minute walk from the airport, and there's a large lounge area with a bar on the ground floor. The room looks worn but was clean, with an iron, hairdryer, TV, kettle, tea and complimentary biscuits. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, body and hand wash, plus towels. Reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast included a traditional Scottish option, fruit, bread, bakery items and porridge.

The restaurant is a real highlight. I've never had to book a table at a Holiday Inn lobby restaurant before, but I ate there twice, dinner and lunch the next day. Both were hearty comfort food plates, loaded with tasty things. It's a great way to start the day with a proper meal. You can walk straight across the street from airport baggage claim to reception, so the location is excellent. The hotel has plenty of quirks, including furnishings that look like they're from the 60s or 70s. The room gave me a few laughs with its last-century look, but the bed and pillows were comfortable. That character is part of what makes it a great place to land in Glasgow.

We had a 6 AM flight, and the hotel's across the street from the airport, so getting there was easy. The room was nice, but we couldn't get the air conditioning working. It faced west, and when I called the front desk they said they'd send someone to look at it, but nobody came. Not a huge issue, though worth bearing in mind.
