The service, friendly welcome and local information were brilliant. We stayed in the apartment, which was just right for the two of us, and there was bike storage with a useful set of tools we were glad not to need. We had private facilities, but the main kitchen and dining area looked well equipped. I can thoroughly recommend the place.

The apartment had everything we needed, including tea and coffee, and was cosy. It's a lovely independent hostel, and I can't recommend it enough. We booked it while doing the coast to coast over the weekend. The real bonus was somewhere to store the bike, plus a repair station and a drying room for our kit. We only stayed the night, were exhausted and left early, so didn't use the communal areas, though they looked brilliant. Sorry, we forgot food in the fridge... oops. I'm sure we'll be back. It's a great little place.

We only stayed one night, but loved it. The beds were very comfy, the host gave us a friendly welcome, and everything was straightforward. The apartments are beautiful, cosy and well furnished, yet still a good price. The cellar has excellent storage for 10+ bikes, with some tools and cleaning materials, plus a small freezer. You can park out front or nearby on the street, and Penrith centre is within walking distance. Highly recommended.

We had a happy family weekend at this fantastic independent youth hostel. It was clean and welcoming, and the facilities were brilliant, with a fully equipped kitchen and drying room. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, and we really appreciated being able to charge our Electric Vehicle.

The rooms were clean and comfy, and the kitchen had everything we needed. For a c2c trip, the bike facilities were especially handy, with plenty of repair tools and a dry room for wet clothes. A really nice hostel with excellent service for cyclists.
