Celtic Bunkhouse Hostel

We hardly saw anyone else, so it was a really quiet few days. The room was lovely, the bathroom clean and nice, and the kitchen well equipped. Booking was easy, and the accommodation itself was brilliant. It’s also very handy for the bike park and a perfect base for exploring Brecon Beacons.

There’s plenty of room to spread out downstairs, with a large kitchen, dining area next to it and a separate living room. That more than makes up for the bedrooms not being spacious, and we never felt hemmed in. Good value too. I’d happily stay again.

So clean and tidy, just right for a night away, and such good value. Hard to imagine finding a better deal. The bunk beds were still comfortable, though they could do with an upgrade because they’re noisy.

The night left me tired, and facing a long ride after such a bad sleep was the last thing I wanted. I couldn’t enjoy the place at all. I’d been offered a double bed but ended up with two bunks, and there were no towels. They’d mentioned that, but I still find it hard to believe an accommodation has no towels. The shower was blocked and flooded. I also didn’t think much of the area, at least by my standards. I’m fed up.
