We left very happy and very full after dinner with friends. The portions were huge, and we all struggled to finish the lovely food. There was a nice choice of drinks, too, and the staff were very friendly. It's about a five-minute drive from Pickering, where we were staying.

They fit our group of five and a high chair in with just five minutes' notice, after our day at Dalby Forest. We were welcomed warmly and shown to the dog-friendly area with our five-month-old puppy. The food came out promptly, portions were generous, and we were all delighted with our meals. The puddings were delicious, and the staff looked after us so well that we could relax. We'll definitely be back and recommend it to family and friends.

We were staying at Flamingo Land and took a chance on this place for food. It's literally five minutes down the road. The prices were very reasonable and everything tasted amazing. The cheese sauce on the burger was the best I've tasted. Highly recommend if you're local or staying at Flamingo Land and fancy traditional, home-cooked food.

We found this warm, welcoming pub by accident while on a family holiday at Flamingo Land. Our party of four adults, four kids and a toddler tried a variety of meals and desserts, and every meal was spot on. They even catered for our toddler being dairy free, with the chef coming out to talk me through what he could and couldn't eat. The portions are huge, and one meal could easily feed two. My husband had the tomahawk steak, cooked to perfection. If we're holidaying in the area again, we'll definitely return. We didn't manage to get pictures of everyone's food.
